Policies
- Draping: All clients are draped during their session according to NYS law.
- Intakes: Are mandatory for all clients and are confidential complying to Hipaa. Please alert me to any changes of health status, medications and other treatments prior to your session, as well as any and all responses perceived to be a result of massage therapy as soon as you become aware of them.
- Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment please try to give at least 48 hrs notice. If you are unable to make your appointment it is appreciated if you are able to find someone else to fill your time slot. PLEASE don't come in if you may have been exposed or are sick. I do have a 24 hr cancellation policy. If there is less than 24 hrs notice of cancellation or rescheduling you will be charged in full for the session cost. Beginning October 1st, 2024 The cancellation Policy will be updated to 48hrs notice for cancellations and reschedules. There will be a charge of $50 for appointments rescheduled or cancelled with less than 48 hrs notice. NO shows and no calls will be charged the full session cost.
- Arrival times and lateness: Please wait outside until your scheduled appointment time to enter the office. If you arrive late for your appointment I will do my best to accommodate you but I still need to allow for time in between appointments to air out the treatment room and to avoid conflicts for other clients.
- Payment: Credit cards are required to hold appointments. You may pay in full by credit card online at time of booking or pay by cash or credit card at time of appointment.
- The scheduling site is secure and is PCI compliant.
- My office is Hipaa Compliant.
- Gift Certificates: May be purchased online
- What to wear depends on the type of session. Some sessions like Shiatsu are done fully clothed, wear comfortable clothes that you can be stretched in. Some sessions use oil or cream, wear clothes that will not get stained when you get redressed. Some sessions are performed undressed but may require you to leave on underwear due to stretching and positioning on the table to support appropriate draping. Some sessions are done fully undressed while fully draped by sheet and blankets. If you are unsure of what type of session we may be doing, please call, text or email me to address what would be appropriate attire.
- No Shower on site please plan accordingly and do not wear clothes that may be stained by oil or cream.
- Parking: street parking in front or in the lot on the side of building on Chestnut Street.
- Gratuities are not expected. Five star reviews on Google, FB and Yelp are appreciated.
- Insurance: I do not take insurance. You may ask for a receipt to submit to your healthcare ins, no fault ins or workers comp ins. (Workers comp and No fault may actually reimburse you if you have a Doctors prescription.)
